The Electro Diesel Group

What began as a family business almost six decades ago, in the then rural district of Marikana in Rustenburg, has evolved to a household name. Founder CC Steyn built his business on solid relationships, superior products and outstanding after-sales support, and, when he retired, he handed over the same core values and vision to the now managing director, Jaap Kroon. From there, the group’s footprint expanded further to the opening of branches in Steelpoort, Kathu, Johannesburg, Middleburg and Botswana.

It’s a matter of professional pride for us to be the industry leaders, to set the benchmark for all others in the field. And we rest that pride on our achievements so far. With 60 years experience, through which our brand has evolved, we now deliver an expansive range of house brands that address the needs of all industry sectors.

More than our own house brands, we go one step further to source all the very best brands, and, if we haven’t got it in stock, we’ll see it as a personal challenge to add it to our arsenal.

We make sure that we’ve got all the big names, like Remy, Mahle, Bosch, Duracell, Schumacher, Seger VDO and Spanjaard, to name but a few. In fact, we don’t just sell the best brands at the best prices in the auto-electrical and electrical industries, we guarantee that all our products are OE-manufactured.

But besides our inexhaustible arsenal of products, we go beyond that, to offer full-circle services for all things auto-electrical. We offer haulage light manufacturing, and other technical services, like harness- and panel-building and wireless rig remotes. Our Collision Awareness Systems (CAS) are designed to international standards, but are locally manufactured, because we believe in supporting local industry. We also offer full Engine Protection Systems, and, as agents for Power Protect and EPS901, we carry the full range of equipment needed to install and maintain these systems, with back-up guarantees.
